The Overdose Train

Updated: Dec 6, 2021

The wind at your back The sun shines no more Another youth dead on the floor. What do we know of the pain people hold, and what they will do to forget?

Hearts, tears have stained From the overdose train It keeps selling death at the door. Families grieve, wonder why did you leave? There's questions where answers aren't found.

May the angels carry you And carry our hearts too To some place that peace will abound. We lift you up, In a shelled filled with smudge For a journey we can't follow you on. You left too soon There's more to do How can we right all that's wrong?

I sing these words, strum my guitar, pour out sadness in a song. What do we know of the pain people hold, and what they will do to forget? - Kimm Kent

Grieving Overdoses. Honouring those we have loved and lost. May you be at peace on your spirit journey dear ones. Thank you for sharing your beings with us. Thank you for your trust. I am sorry we couldn't help you enough. It was never your fault. You were not what people did to you. You are not the mistakes you made. You are beautiful beings of light and the world got in and let you down. Somehow you thought it was because you deserved less. This was never the truth. I hope you are free now.
